Thai embassy

The event is supported by the Thai embassy. An embassy delegation will also be present during the fair.

Buddharama Temple Waalwijk

Monks of the Buddharama temple will be present in a room especially set up for them. The monks will give lectures and lead in prayer and there is an opportunity to speak with them.

Thai Market

A Thai market is set up where both traditional Thai food and non-food products are sold. Statues, furniture, incense, crafts, flowers and of course a Thai massage are some of the products and services on offer. The aromatic curry dishes, soups, spring rolls and many other delicacies are prepared in the original way.

Thai Entertainment

During the entire event, there will be a comprehensive entertainment programme, consisting among other things of:

• Thai dance, performance of about 15 minutes given by Thai women dressed in traditional outfits
• Live band
• Thai performers

Thai Party

Of course, a big Thai party is to take place again on Saturday night. Both visitors and exhibitors indicated that they really appreciate the pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. It was therefore decided to make a tradition of it.

Cooking Session

Thai chefs introduce the visitors to traditional Thai cuisine.

Every year, 150,000 Dutch travel to the ‘Smile Country’ for their holidays. This makes Thailand our most important Asian destination. During the Thailand Fair 2009, there will be an extensive travel offer: from Phuket and Krabi to Chiang Mai and from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi or Phimai.
